JonW all those single tracks were they made by people or animals or both?
Chris, some are natural game tracks, but I would say the majority are tracks put in place and maintained by the lodge owners.
They use them for biking, trail running and cycling events.
I am always having chats to the owners about opening new trails up, but it's quite expensive to open a new trail and then maintain it.

Thanks Jon for great weekend and nice pics.
hey Ian, great having you at the Bash and on the ride.

now we need to have you join us on some of our Hilton rides so you can use that nice 500 of yours like it was meant to be used :giggle:

Hey Gerald, great to ride with you, always a pleasure for me when guys enjoy the ride as much as I do.
We've got lots of riding like that down here in Kzn, just give me a shout and you can come down again and we can make a weekend of it (y)

This is some of the footage from my Gopro of Friday's ride from Craigie Burn to Zingela. I have reposted the vid onto youtube a number of times already, but it always seems to cut the video short.

On my computer it looks fine if I reduce the resolution to 1080p. But total crap on youtube. I reccomend you watch it on the HD or 4k resolution if you can.

Here you go...

Cool video Charlie, thanks for capturing that (y) (y) (y) (y)

Im currently busy with Saturday's ride footage that I got of the smaller bikes along the river. Hopefully post it up here tomorrow sometime

We left home at 6.45 AM for what would be an 11 hour ride. N3 to Heidelberg south and after that a 50/50 dirt and tar mix. First stop for a pie and coffee in Villiers.

some obligatory windpomp and church photos as we made our way slowly south. Seats on the bikes are like an ironing board, so any reason to stop was welcomed.

A small slukkie to give us some energy and the offending piece of wire.

we decided to carry on our original route despite losing so much time.

After that it just become a bit of an iron butt to make it there before it got dark, so no more photos that day. Met @petri oosthuizen trying to find his way without lights on the last few km into Zingela.

The next morning we had a visitor who calmly jumped up onto bed next to me.

River views at Zingela are fantastic and improved by the addition of our 200cc beasts into the pictures.

Ride home was supposed to be shorter and easier, but it was not. Somewhere outside of Gelucksburg.

And our accommodation for Sunday night just outside Heilbron.

The next day crossing the vaal by into Gauteng.

The winds on Sunday were horrendous and on a 200cc bike sometimes we were down to 55kmh. We will think again about such a long trip in one day.

Epic 11 hour ride

Great pics, thanks for sharing and thanks for supporting the Bash

Wow....that was one hectic ride for you guys...but well done for getting there and back safely. Nice little bikes.
That little creature also came into our tent for a brief 'hello'.

JonW you have posted some wonderful photos of your out ride. When I see those lovely places I wish I was able to join.
Thank you again for organising a really lovely weekend. For years I having been wanting to spend a night there. So this was the perfect opportunity.
Well done!

Well done Dawie and Pebbles!
Ja, one needs to add a bit more time (and sheepskins) when riding smaller bikes. That wind was a killer over the weekend and you have my utmost respect for battling against it!

Of all riding conditions, I hate wind the most!
