I'm guessing but looks like Swarberg pass, Prince Albert side.

Saturday my good mate from Canada (John) and I left on a ride to Stilbaai, to visit my folks old farm, to pay respects to my old man whose ashes are there, as John couldn't be there due to Covid. He is like a brother from another mother as was part of our family growing up. 31 years and counting as mates.
Did Rooi Els, Hermanus, Gansbaai, Bredasdorp, Swellendam to Stilbaai. Then Sunday morning winged it back N2 whole way as had a braai organized at lunch time. Weather was not great but the memories made were top notch.

That farm is just to the right of Herman Van As's farm. People call it the farm where the hippies used to live in the 60's. Big mansion being built just across from it.

It's near the end of the river yeah, I think our neighbours were the Chickens. Can't remember all the neighbours, Wilbur Smith had 3 farms there too. Muppets, Bird Song and something else.
My folks had that farm for 18 years and we had many good memories there with many different bikes.
Proposed to my wife there too

Ok. Never been there. ( Only up to the Die Hel turnoff...numerous times)

Couple of trucks have been through there lately!!
Next time you go that way go down to PA and then tar to Meiringspoort and then dirt again from Dysselsdorp to Herold. Lekke daytrip in winter.

Rare commute….

Friday arvie short solo ride to the foothills of the Jonkersberg...the mountains to the west of town. It was lekka gnarly after the massive rain we had on Monday. I'm still lost with the suspension of this bike, the front seems so hard....unless it's just me.

Did some of the canal routes along Brits late the afternoon as we only started at 14h30 going to Beestekraal we had to make it short as we only got back home at 7pm, sections are very muddy with the last rains...

… me and the kids did the railroad track Potch- Fochville … first trip for the XT 350 after the repairs … Gerhards girlfriend will be riding her … just the right hight for her … will have to kickstart for her, but a nice litte bike …
