Slimmed down and tidied up her tail 800GS

Yes, I initially liked the WolfMan pannier Racks but then these locally made ones came out. Much cheaper and even more robust because of the back bar support. Bought from FlyingBrick  ;D

    BMW F800GSA Ride Report

Fully agree You can get all the extras on the standard 800 en make it almost adventure and just wouldn't have the bigger tank. For now a 2Liter Coke bottle or two sorts that problem out for me.

Slimmed down and tidied up her tail 800GS

Wish my wife could do this  I initially got the idea off the Adventure Rider Site, see the white bike below, they tucked the number plate right under the brake light. And then this weekend, I picked up the grinder and just went for it. With my pannier bar at the back I went one step...

    Service workshop mishap

I got my bike back the following day as was promised. In the end they only fix the appearance of the small broken part by building it up with steel putty, sanding it down and repainted. Now you only see what looks like a small crack. This is a slight improvement on the initial glued part where...

    Service workshop mishap

I am still speechless. No real solution was found... only a better alternative to gluing the small piece back onto the engine block. The plan is now to rather use steel putty, and then re-thread the thread, sand it down and repaint. Replacing the part or even welding it (my first choice) is...

    Service workshop mishap

I think that is part of why I am asking for advice. Replacing the entire lower part of the engine block (as explained by Knucklhead) for something this small is a bit extreme, yet they should have insurance for this (or even my own insurance). But then I am left stranded with no transport for...

    Service workshop mishap

I plan on discussing it in length later today. Yesterday I only spoke to the Mechanic and he explained to me what had happened, besides, they still have a lot to do on the bike service wise.

    Service workshop mishap

Hi gents, need advice: I took my 2012 800 GS for its 20 000km service at my local BMW Motorrad. They phoned and explained my bike was not yet ready for pickup and that unfortunately I need to come in and change loan bikes (courtesy bikes). While there I go over to MY bike (still on the...

Forget The Clutch For Upshifts ???

https://rideapart.com/articles/10-motorcycle-riding-tricks-you-dont-know-yet Does anybody here actually ride like this? What about my 800GS? "Forgive me if this sounds a little remedial, but I see a lot of guys out on the road who don’t know how to do this. Works on any bike, be it crotch...
