I have had this bike sitting in my garage for about 10 years waiting for time and money to restore it. Just not getting to it so I'm going to pass on the opportunity to someone else. Even though I've hardly used it it always starts with no more than two or three kicks. I've done a few short trips with it, including Baviaans and it has never missed a beat. It is an ideal base for a restoration. It has never been restored before and still has the original paint and stickers. Mechanically sound and mostly complete. Incorrect lights and indicators though and the front mudguard is also not correct as far as I know. Also it is a 1981 model; the last year of XT500 production.
