From De Rust the wind was terrible strong. In Aberdeen I had to refill and we also stopped for a snack. The plan was to sleep in Graaff Reinet.
The church with the highest tower I believe.
We arrived in Graaff Reinet late afternoon.
SUBIE - HERE IS THE VIOLANCE PART: :
After a shower etc, we walked around in town, looking for a place to eat. We walked into the one place, and the lady told us that they are full and that there are other places to eat in town. We went there, but we were not happy, so we went back, and the tables were still empty. Ou Bees asked her again, and she still insisted that they are full. With her customer service background, told the lady in proper Afrikaans that since we came into the restaurant, she didn't want to help us. She asked her to tell her what the problem is and all of a sudden they have a table available.
Makes you think.........
Since Eskom don't allow aircon's etc, these people decided to cool themselves on a traditional way
Dorsland started a tread "Daar is niks so lekker soos"
https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=155438.140 and he mentioned about the fruit cake Christa, his wife bakes. I had to go and have a look if it is true, so the plan for tomorrow is to visit him on his farm.
That was day 10. Tomorrow it is off to Dorsland, Cradock and then home.
