On the way back from the bash last year, after a few cold ones, TrailBlazer mentioned that he may be able to arrange for us to have a go on a Comair flight simulator....instant addition to the 'bucket list' for myself (CHorse), Groenie and Jules.

On Thursday last week we got "the call"...there is an opening on Friday night, are you in?

So at 6pm on Friday evening, myself, Groenie and GSJeri (thanks to Jules being otherwise engaged) met up with TrailBlazer for a different sort of ride  ;D

First a look at the older simulators - 737-200 in the foreground and 737-300/400/500 in the background

Then it was off to the baby we were to fly...the latest 737-800

Slightly more complex than my DR

All warmed up and ready to push back from the ramp at OR Tambo (you can see some of the detail through the windscreen)

Each of us got to takeoff, fly a circut and then land again at OR Tambo.

Groenie took the controls first to show the rest of us how it should be done  >:D

Soon after this I ran out of batteries on my phone so you will have to believe me that the quality of the flying improved from this point onwards  :mwink:

A big thank-you to TrailBlazer for putting this "ride" together, and to my co-pilots for making it a night to remember  :thumleft: :thumleft:
