This is a 2002 model, with low mileage, in excellent condition, for R46 000. It has new chain, sprockets and tyres and has just had a major service, the following is also worth noting;
- Modern Rally Raid style fairing with LED headlights
- Acewell multifunction dashboard
- K&N air filter, including the service kit
- 12v Power point
- Wide front foot rests
- Heavy duty tubes fitted
- Purpose made free flow exhaust which has a Titanium end piece and standard front part, it’s not excessively loud, but does have a bark to it, aside from the lovely noise, the engine seems to be very responsive with it fitted, and it’s a lot lighter than the standard one
- Upgraded (Aluminium) rear disc protector and chain guide (standard ones are plastic)
- High front mudguard to fit in with the modern fairing
- Copy of the Haynes workshop manual
- If you want to see more on the fairing go to https://www.perfect-fairings.com/en/products/show/africa-twin-rd07-rd07a-rally-fairing-690rfr-_306 and for more on the multifunction dashboard go to https://www.acewell.co.uk/Acewell%20Speedometers/ACE-5xxx/ACE-5856.htm?action=full&id=171 )
Available as extra would be the Centre stand (currently fitted, can remove or leave on) Top Box and Bagster tank bag and tank cover shown in the last picture, for R1000, R500 and R1500 respectively.
The inevitable question, why am I selling, I’m a self confessed project bike junkie, I had always wanted to do a Rally Raid style bike, and the opportunity came up for this fairing I went for it, never intending to sell once done. While I was still busy a good opportunity came up on Varadero, so I’m now on a mission to make it lighter and more off-road orientated, but that mission needs to be funded.
I’m in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town (Panorama).
