These pics are stunning!

What you do not see, are the distances of the legs we were riding. The pics only show about 20m at a time of sections.

We had to do 80kms of that stuff on the first day, and 60kms on the second. Thats excluding the liaisons to get to and from the specials.  :eek7:

The first day added up to 417kms. Thats from CT past George on 2 spoor mountain tracks and washed away dirt roads.  :ricky:
Kla jy, of spog jy ???

My lyf is nog seer.

Ek sal jou volgende week laat weet

What is Amageza all about?

We've had a lot of ****-swinging on this thread. GPS speed, bla bla bla.........OK, I'm also VERY impressed when okes (and 1 girl) can charge hard.

There was mention of camaraderie (at Broekskeur, helping with punctures, etc.) but I was the only witness at the two watercrossings at the qualifier on the Friday.

Whilst working through the bulk of footage, I just felt the need to share this sequence here on WD, rather than to shelve it onto the immenent Amageza 2012 CD / DVD.

Two spiff-looking Yamaha XT 660 Z's approach the 2nd watercrossing after completing the loop:

Hey, gaan maak jou bike skoon. En as jy klaar is, myne wag.
Hierdie installment het betrekking op ouens soos jy.

The riders obviously knew each other well, not much spoken.

I'm not going to talk a lot.
I don't have ****, so I'll leave all the typing to Rynet.

A father and son team from Durban.

We spent Thursday night in the same guesthouse.

What I want to bring home here:
Isn't this what Amageza is all about?
As far as I know, this was a father & son. confirmed
Think he said he was 60.

They drank like camels from my water bottle, they had run out.

Alex, how about this proposal: Make a "Next generation" class.
Then father & son, father & daughter, mother and son, Rynet & Rambo jnr can form a team? (sorry for the poofters, am I being un-PC)?

What a very nice way of telling a "very detailed & Deep story",... in the form of a few photos. :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:

To demonstrate how daunting the first river crossing was, lets look at some images of the top riders.
The sun was barely up.

I must say, every single time I look at a 660 doing it's thing, it becomes more appealing to me as an amazing and under-rated bike?
