Thanks ESA for the RR link and pics - I now have a better perspective  ::) but probably no better understanding, mind.

Dit was nou n lekker lees.
Ek sien die grootste issue as om so n support vehicle te kry. Dan sal ek dit ook wil doen, en so what as mens dit nie maak nie, dit bly vet pret

Thanks explore. that took a lot of guts glad you enjoyed the ride . thanks for sharing the RR

Wat 'n report!!! Baie geluk en flippen goed gedoen! Persoonlik kort ek nog baie ervaring om so iets aan te pak. Sal graag so iets wil doen 1 dag.

I know the debate shouldnt start all over...but I dont see it as a folly. Maybe if they did not have a support vehicle, but that was not the case.
You accept you are going to have some repair bills, and then have an adventure you will never forget. All good memories come from bad decisions.
I would love to do this, to test my bike and myself to such limits.
I know a plastic is better suited, but thats not an adventure. I wont take a days leave, drive a 1000km and spend all that money to do it on a plastic, but will to have the experience on my big scoot

Best any ongoing debate on the merits/demerits of this experiment continue on original Planning thread: https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=137637.300
This tread is really for the RR and comment on that specifically. Otherwise it will quickly be hijacked again.  :thumleft:

Thanks all for the comments and good wishes.

Video clips of our ride is now on www.gsrental.co.za

Enjoy!!

(Some 50+ videos exist on this ride from several riders. A movie day needs to be arranged for sure.)

Dankie lekker gekyk na daai clips.  :thumleft:

Those narrow roads with that road conditions, very scary stuff  :thumleft:

Respek vir die ouens wat dit aangedurf het, veral PC! Dink sy skill level het eksponensieel toegeneem!!  :thumright:

En Willem met die Cruiser so half unofficial ge-pack up het...

Maar onthou, n storie het altyd 3 kante...
