Lekker riding some real dirt roads, broken sub frame 300km from home. But hey, local farm workers putting up fence nearby, went there and begged them for my favourite bike parts and tools, aka Bloudraad en tang.
Fixed it up and carried on home safely yesterday.
Got some prices from 2 companies breaking 990, asking R8000 and R6000 respectively for the subframe. :dousing: :eek7:
No way I can pay that, especially as Im not sure what hard riding the bike did before with no guarantee.
It broke of where the bolts go through, so not a crack for simple welding it up, so assume a new piece of square aluminium needs to be welded on again.
Is this possible?
Any advise or recommendations?
Nice before and after pics...
