Hey guys,
So I hit a pothole on a tar road, with quite a vertical lip on it. Upon inspection I see that although the tyre is ok, the rim is not! It has a nice neat dent (see pic) on the left hand edge. (Very sad that an adventure bike can't handle a lousy pothole, because it comes standard with lousy soft rims!) My questions thus are:
1. Can I leave it, or do I need to get this repaired? There is no noticeable vibration or anything else I can feel whilst riding.
2. Can it be repaired? My local BMW dealer says because the 21 inch rim is so narrow, it can't really be repaired. Does that mean I'm in for a set of Excel's?
Cheers
Greg
