Edit....

Due to not reaching the numbers required, it is with great regret that we have to cancel the final qualifier in Patensie. We also have no time left to set another qualifier in the various provinces due to the advanced stage of planning for the main event.

However, you may still enter by doing the following:

Please forward a race CV, footage, motivational letter and / or a list of competitive off-road events you have completed. Based on the contents thereof exemption will be granted, and allow you to enter the Amageza Rally 2012. This information will only be seen by management, and the contents thereof will be kept confidential.

* A GPS track of 90% of the official route is required. A GPS device failing to record the track will have a 1 minute time penalty added to the riders time for every 1% missed.

* A riders total time is calculated as: Special Stage Time + Penalty Time.

* Liaison Legs are not timed, however the stage has a cut-off time, which is a actual time, i.e.: 16:00. This is calculated as the maximum time a rider can be on the Stage. Any arrivals after this time has a mandatory 1 hour penalty time added, for every 1 hour late.

* Any decisions regarding penalties or disqualification of a rider is final, and will be enforced once the GPS track of the rider is reviewed.

* This is not a race, it’s a navigation, skill and endurance challenge. The time limits are imposed for safety aspects. It is not possible to cover 300km of track by marshals, thus the requirement to keep the riders grouped, and hence the time-limits.
