Carburetor cleaning

I took the carb off the new to me XR400 and found it to be somewhat dirty...

The float is stuck, jets buried under grey rubber play do stuff. The carb slide is stuck as well. The spray carb cleaner is having a hard time.
I want to submerge it so it gets a pre clean before I have it ultrasonic cleaned. Google comes up with Gunk but I can't find it locally.

Any recommendations?
