Ek dink daaraan om n ride te beplan.

Sal n man oorslaap by Stonehenge?
Of dit net n dagtrip maak?

Dag trip : Ry baie vroeg. Pasop vir te warm weer en neem genoeg water (3l minimum)

Oorslaap : Vok ja!

Was laas naweek daar deur

We went through there the same weekend, in fact often saw the tracks of two bikes. We however came back up through some little roads we found and entered the Biedouw Valley over the Doring River. I suppose we "got lost" for a bit and then suddenly found ourselves near the Soutpanpad.

It would appear there are new fences going up at the end near Elandsvlei, we also were able to stand on the wires and ride over, but it looks like its a work in progress, and there seems to be new fencing going up all over the place around that area, so who knows  whats going to happen.

Servitude Road?, I'm not sure. I know the portion that goes over Agterfontein is private property, but Oom Albie doesn't mind visitors, as long as they "bly op die spoor, hou uit die tee lande, en moenie nie mors nie".

But the latter part of the Post Route is getting worse. This last bout of rain has started some serious erosion in places which will probably only get worse as time goes on as I don't suppose anyone goes out there to maintain anything. We ripped a serious hole in a sidewall at one point, and had to make a gator out of a spare tube, not fun in 42 degree heat.

The road that drops down to the Doring on the other side of the Biedouw Valley has also been damaged and is a bit "rough".

Perfect time of the year. It gets VERY hot in summer. If it rains, not too bad until the rivers flow.
It's mostly rocky or sandy, not muddy like Sutherland area.
