I am looking for a few (5 - 10) fellow riders to join me going up & down Sani Pass on pitbikes (or any other small bikes 125/150 or quadbikes).
I did this trip in May 2008 on a Terramoto 125 cc pitbike, & it was reasonably easy. There was no rain or snow, so I guess that was a blessing.
Apparently there is a spot about 5km from the Sani Top Chalet that is the highest point & worth riding to. (White Mountain or something ... I was told)
Only good condition bikes that are reliable should be used. The air is thin, even from the bottom of the pass so expect your bike to cut out easily along the way.
You need to carry extra fuel if you cannot do around 50 - 70 km on one tank.
A passport & about R200 for food & a drink on top should be adequate.
