De Wildt On Heavy Metals Sunday 28 June

Thanks Lightning - once again youre the man!!!

Well Lightning1 took us places in De Wildt where the majority of us mere mortals would really not have contemplated!! 2 x 1200 Adventures (Double Diamond and Prostone), 1 x KTM 950 Super Enduro (the Doc) 1 x KTM 950 Adventure (Lightning1), 1 x KLR ( the tiny little Bike - Jules) and Myself on a 1200 GS. Oh and there was Eric with his Landrover, with Trailer and KTM on Trailer, Joined us at the dam for Breakfast and Coffee, drove to the Police station at De Wildt and drove home again. Those KTM's just won’t start!!! (Without Keys).

So sorry about that Eric!!! We really felt for you!!!

But gees, was it fun. The disbelief on the faces of some of the Plastics riders was quite ammusing. You got here on those monsters how? U came down where?

For those of us who haven’t ridden in De Wildt before it was a great experience. I would love to do it again on a smaller bike (or a KTM - that Super Enduro was amazing!!!)
