Sorry no pics.... I was too busy trying to save my sorry ass
Went to a 21st last night so the senses were a bit tender this morning
I was also nursing a bloody sore thumb and aching muscles from a hockey game yesterday
So the recipe was set for the ride in De-Wildt today
I could just not get into my groove and early on on I misjudged a rocky outcrop in the sandy river bed and I endo'ed and the bike landed on my leg - damn it was sore and the jolts of pain shooting up my leg told me that I was going to remember this
Getting going and soon, again in the river bed, misjudging a turn on a deep sandy corner, hit a false neutral and being on a camber I could not find a footing and down I went - into the water with the bike half on top of me.
Just before the three fences shop I hit a rut down a steep slope, and going too fast - I knew I was in trouble.
The bike came skidding past me whilst I SLAMMED into the bank
My helmet hit first and then my chest. Oooooooh the pain. I lost my senses for a few seconds, felt completely dazed and sat there trying to get air back into my lungs
AMX and I sat at the shop and we rested a bit longer than usual.
The ride home was uneventful
Now I'm sitting here feeling very sorry for myself. My foot is FRIGGEN sore and my chest hurts like hell
I hope my next "off day" is not too soon >
Oh, by the way.... did I mention that I had a helluva ride today
