Hi Guys
I have 2 problems with my Honda XRV 750
1) It sounds like it needs a good carburetor clean and tune up as it won't idle and pops and misfires under a load then clears for a while. When clear it performs well again
2) It has a poor fuel consumption ( 5,7 l /100 kms) which can vary a lot ,better and worse
3)The exhaust outlet is black(rich)
My fuel consumption could have been affected by high altitude mountain riding (Rhodes,Naudea's Nek)
My question is can the carbs be sorted out using carburetor spray cleaner or do they need more work like adjusting the float level and needle and seat
I am very sure that the ignition system is in order
I would appreciate advise on the best and simplest way forward
Regards
