I got a 2013 F800GS last year. The bike is in excellent condition. I don't ride everyday though.
I recently (Desember 2020) noticed that the bike felt unstable when I start going over 120 km/h.
Symptoms:
The steering feels like it is being buffeted, there is a left-to-right movement on the handlebars. This becomes very prominent at higher speeds. I am not able to detect it at lower speeds.
Troubleshooting:
Front Tyre Pressure is at 2.8 Bar as per the Tyre spec (ANAKEE II)
The tread is not damaged anywhere I can see
The front wheel does not appear to be warped/unbalanced as I don't detect vibration at any speeds below 100 Km/h.
I have also had the bike on the center stand and tested the movement of the handlebars and don't detect any indexing which would indicate a problem with the steering-head bearings.
What are the other possibilities?
Could it be the shocks?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
