Race Dog
If you can get your hands on the Feb. 2007 issue of the UK 'Bike' magazine - it's lekker.
Nice comparison of different engine types with real road-tests:
Nice selection of bikes representing the different engine types: for us here, there's even a KTM 950, a BMW R1200R (which I assume has the same engine as the GS), and a Yamaha XT660.
For example, here's the result of the "Traffic Light GP" test (quickest to 100ft, from standstill) - note how the Hayabusa manages to beat only the XT660!:
The overall winner was the Triumph inline triple.
And then there's an article on some Brits who did Nam (nice pic of a GS with an elephant, etc). And some guy did the highest altitude by bike on a XT660.
And finally, the "Tall Rounders" shootout, which pits the new Triumph Tiger against the R1200GS, the Ducati Multistrada and the V-Strom:
The Tiger was voted the best one, just ahead of the GS, but only because the test involved no off-road element
