Baie nice.  Kan nie wag vir die res nie.

Dink daardie sand vreet aan 'n man se fiksheid  ;)

Ek is so Julie maand daardeur en kan nie onthou dat daar so baie diksand en  sinkplaat was nie.Miskien oor ek in die oggend daardeur was. Verbasend hoe
pad toestande in daardie wereld verander binne 3 maande.
Ek sien julle is soos ek by die 2de afdraai noord na Molopo tweespoor toe. Hierdie pic lyk vir my bekend.

Heerlike pad.  Ek hoor van die plaaslike manne dat die paaie binne 'n week verander.  :eek7:

DAY 4 – OUTRIDE AT THE BASH

We had an enjoyable evening and hit the sack not to late looking forward to todays outride that we had planned.  It was another short stint, from Molopo towards Noenieput via Koppieskraal pan, then to Philandersbron, Klein Mier and Groot Mier via Hakskeen pan and back to Molopo.

Meerkatte at Molopo

On the road towards Noenieput.

Koppieskraal pan, here we stopped and played a bit.

Camels on route to Philandersbron.

On our way to Philandersbron

Part of Hakskeen pan

Part of Hakskeen pan was closed and we searched for an alternative route to the pans.

We met up with some other WD also searching for an alternative route to the pans.

We passed through on gate but the second gate was locked and we had to turn back.

From Klein Mier it was back to the lodge.  Some other WD’s on their way to the pans.

Back at the lodge.

Thanks for your eggs Drazil………………!!!!

Die lodge is ‘n lekker plek, maar hulle het die k@kste bankies waarop ‘n man jou poepol moet balanseer.
Boer maak ‘n plan.

After the prize giving we had a lekka braai and hit the sack after twelve.

DAY 5 – MOLOPO LODGE TO RIEMVASMAAK
We had no planned route for our trip back.  We were thinking to sleep the night at Verneukpan, but Drazil mentioned at the bash that they might go to Riemvasmaak.  This was a great opportunity for us to visit the place.  We left Molopo just after 7 and took the tar to Upington.  I needed to get some 10mm bolts and nuts to secure the sidecars mudguard.

On our way to Upington.  We were cruising between 120 – 130km’h and these guys were flying past us.

Check this smiley out.  Seen in Upinton on one of the local guys tuned up Yota

From Upinton on the road to Keimoes and Kakamas.
Some more guys from the bash

In Kakamas we stocked up with ice and meat and headed out to Riemvasmaak.
On our way to Riemvasmaak.

Riemvasmaak did not disappoint, I will let the pictures do the talking.

Our chalets for the evening.  No camping spots are available here.  Cheap at R375 for the chalet that sleeps 4.

This rock formation is named the beauty and the beast.

I was so kind and bought the wife a bokkie at Molopo, seems she also had a nice trip.

Some birdlife at Riemvasmaak.

Well, what can I say?  We had our own little bash at Riemvasmaak.  A total of 8 WD’s eventually arrived at Riemvasmaak.  We had a great braai, steaks, chops, ribs, wors, two salads and rooster bread.

We all had a great time.  Riemvasmaak will for sure see me again.
