the lever jammed again and now I am waiting for a new part from Suzuki SA. I have asked the mechanic at Suzuki to open the motor and to replace any part that may require changing. the purpose is to be able to offer a bike to someone with the full confidence that it is 100% in every sense. So I am putting it on hold for a few weeks - parts take a while from Suzuki. When completely sorted and ready to roll - I will put it back into the market.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused to the many many interested buyers. the wait will be worthwhile. :thumleft:
I am immigrating to Spain and it is with a heavy heart that I put this up for sale. Despite the current decomp issue which is now being resolved by Suzuki agent and an awesome mechanic.
Price
R19,500 o.n.o. - price might be slightly adjusted once sorted out.
Bike
LED 1600 lumen spots
Zeta handgaurds
Acerbis hand guard covers with LED adjustable 800 lumen spots
Stainless Steel free flow pipe
Swivel pegs
Long Range Acerbis tank + Std tank
LED front and rear flickers
HID headlight
Motor - ceramic coated (Powerkote) combustion chamber, barrel outside, link pipe from motor to where it enters the silencer.
Footpeg hangers and luggage rack has been recently powder coated
Extras included (new still in packaging)
2 x X-ring chains
3 x rear sprockets
3 x front sprockets
2 x air filter elements - Twin-Air / Champion
3 x mirrors
2 x oil filters
1 x set clutch complete with springs
1 x set clutch without springs
1 x set Michelin T63 tyres
My Current Diagnosis
Based upon my previous experiences I would gather that the loss of compression is due to something not right with the decompression lever, either with the mechanism jamming or misalignment or possibly some wear ( but with 29 000km I don’t think so). Now sorted by Suzuki agent. The leak is due to misaligned feeder pipe/ incorrect O ring.
See post further down - it appears that the incorrect adjustment of the decomp lever could result in the above in valve staying open and therefore no compression.
Looking forward to your responses. This is a great bike. I am sorry to see it go. I would hold onto it but circumstances prevent me from doing so.
