Fuel cap does not open

Hi There

It happened last week at the petrol station. Ready to fill up, but I could not get the cap open. Key would not turn. After fiddling a bit and irritating all the cagers behind me  :deal: it opened... Is it safe to spray some Q20 in the fuel cap key hole?
