Going to Nkandla

At Morgenzon I buy the most random lunch, more to fill the stomach than a la carte - garage pie and something to drink. Outside of town I take a dirt road to get off the main road. I drive to the shade of a eucalyptus and have a bit of a rest and munch on leftovers in my backpack. Tomorrow is back to work and I cant say I’m too excited but hey it does pay for the rides like I just had and that makes me very happy. I get back on the tar with Johhny Cash - Ghost Riders in the Sky on my earphones to tackle the last 174km to Pretoria. Thanks for riding along ! Fluit fluit my storie is uit.

Very evocative pics and narrative, thanks, J.

And, btw, what front tire are you running on your bike?
It’s the stock IRC tyre that comes on the Rally. I have no problems with them, good on tar and off road. Sadly cant buy them new in SA

Niks so mooi soos n grondpad wat deur die skone natuur tonele kronkel teen n wolklose helder blou agtergrond, en met geen mens in sig nie........wyk Satan;)

Thanks for sharing with us @sidetrack , do you have a route that you can share?
I did the Nkandla area a few years back after a KZN Bash, popped past Zuma's kraal and firepool and also found the most amazing twisty road out there through a forest, beautiful area

Dankie ST vir die 100de kere afklim en fotos neem en ook die info van die dorpies waardeur jy is!! (y)

Enjoyed your ride and reporting, thanks.

Muhle kakhulu! Very beautiful! I grew up in the heart of Zululand. My dad's first car was a 1947 Chev sedan. I can still remember that we had problems managing the steep climb from Tugela Ferry towards Greytown, which was rough gravel at that time. Seems like aeons ago.....

Thanks for sharing.
