I've got a 1997 R1100GS with 93000km on the clock and, like all BMW's, the gearbox is very clunky and that goes for shifting aswell.
I got Castrol SAF-XO for my gearbox and its much smoother!
I'm quite happy with the performance of the oil and its going into my diff aswell with the next service! ;D
It's a 75W90 GL-5 oil.
What do u use to loosen the oil filter on your bikes? ???
