Dropped my bike 3 times on the trip. Every time a stupid short legs syndrome event. Crash bars took the brunt of it……

It’s hot in the midday sun and my heart rate is sky high after picking my bike up again. We rest in the shade before tackling another gnarly section

A ride with Mark ALWAYS has a sting in the tail….. it wasn’t any different on this ride and with Piggs Peak Hotel a stone throw away, Mark recommended we put on our big girl panties and started a climb that tested bike and rider….😈😈

The climb wasn’t easy by any stretch of the imagination. When it was recce’d for EDBA, it claimed a 990 clutch and dented a couple of bikes and egos….

Giving Mark some space…..
My inseam and the 990 S’s seat height not really a match made in heaven. 99% of the times I put my bike down, it because I can’t get my feet down. Giving the rider in front some space hopefully allows me to have clear run and keeping my momentum.

Climb was a steep, off-camber affair with some slippery exposed roots to keep you honest

Big sigh of relief as I made to what I believed to be the top of the climb. I would soon find out that this was only the beginning.

Henry wanted to support the locals financially so created a few scenarios where he could hand them money in exchange for pushing and picking up his 990 🤣
