Awesome report and pics  :thumleft:

I may have missed it but what was the the final outcome on Katie's fuse blowing problem?
Still at KTM George guess I will only hear from them in the new year.....  :(

Last DAY Addition:

It was blisteringly hot the last 2 days with tempretures being measured at 48 deg driving back through Oudtshoorn, so breaking down by the river was imperitive so it turned out.

Some pics of the sun coming over the mountain at about 04:30am and the temp almost immediately climbing by another 10deg.

4:30am

Amazing how quick things heat up!

Under a bush trying to keep out of the sun. Ended up with burnt knees...

This little guy was hiding in the shade of Katie's tyre....

Breaking down at the causeway lead to us having fresh crystal clear mountain water.

Nice report so far! :thumleft:

Pity about the GPS route. Berm_Rooster also had a problem with it. A section of that route used to be closed because of flooding, but is open now. If you have an older version of T4A your GPS still thinks its closed and reroutes the route taking you astray :-\

As for Attakwas Pass  not really ideal for BIG bikes. It's a good thing you guys turned around at the gates before the hairy stuff started!
It is quite hairy , but not impossible , I think all DS bukers should do this adventurous route at least once . First time is always the hardest though ! It really is a great feeling to finish though !

I never said impossible ;) I said "not really ideal" ;D

I look forward to many more Fall Ride Reports from that pass

The guys must just please remember to do it the legal way with payment and permits :deal: as to not faark it up for the rest of us

Nice Report Jughead. You guys took it easy with lots of photo stops (as you should in scenic areas) it seems. :thumleft:

Sorry about the bike. That water crossing easily catches you unawares. Skirt did het first water crossing there before she even knew it

Was I the only person to chuckle at the photo stops during the trip to Prins Albert while his mate was waiting broken down? ;D

Rephrase that..... Broken down and incinerated.....

Congrats! Great ride, rr and pics!

I especially appreciate the GPS coords at each pic, this is truly helpful!

Thx so much!  :thumleft:

Nice report  :thumleft:
Sorry to read about your ride TF5, hope it's not to bad!!

GREAT photo's and report you guys, looking at it brought memories back. Sorry we left you alongside the road TornadoF5, the heat was terrible. Jughead your were a star and an example of what camaraderie is (should be like).

Trust your bike will be fixed soon.

Got notification from Lee at KTM George this week telling me that one of the lamda sensor wires were crimped! Lee isolated it, and boom Katie roared back to life!

I guess it was laying in an awkward position and the jerk of going through the water crossing was the final straw

Baie nice pic.... die paaie is bekend.

Een van die kameras het 'n weird color setting. Was dit aspris of perongeluk en wat issit? ::)

Pics IS mooi!
Is dit 'n photoshop action wat jy gebruik om die "painted" effek te kry? Indien wel, wat is dit en kan jy dit asb. share of mail?
