Time for me to do this again. Who has done something similar?

This was 8 years ago, who would have thought that I would land up there again in 2021.

My Brandon Bosch Memorial RR, brings back so many memories which are in this RR.

I have seen that there have been some new views of this RR.

I have also been going through it to copy some of the photos here to relate the then to the now in my current RR, but it seems that some of the photos have just blanked. Anyone on some reason why this would have happened?

I think I still have all the original photos stashed in a file somewhere, but that is a mission I do not have time for right now. It would be interesting to compare and see how things have changed during the last 8 years.

Please let me know who of you have now read this RR for the first time.

First time for me. Fish River Canyon is incredible, and I laughed at "the DJUICES flowing". Great RR!

Photos trouble starts from this post - https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=131862.msg2602708#msg2602708

Thank you. I have no idea why this happened or how to solve it. I will find a way, just no time right now.

Me, started Today. :ricky:

This was my first venture into Africa.

I know it is worth reading beginning to end, but I have a bigger picture in mind. I know that time is precious to everyone, but please, if you have the time, start from the beginning. Why?

You will eventually understand that you are supporting my current cause and helping me achieve what I really have set out to achieve, but it all takes time. Something most of us have very little of, but please bear with me.

Thank you.
Marius.

I have read the whole report from start to finish. Not in one go, did it over a week, so I could enjoy it
Well done !!
This is the type of adventure that will stay with you for a lifetime.
I see that you are a regular traveler: any idea how many kilos you have done so far ?
And, if you have time, give us a list of what you pack on a tour like this
I need to say again Well done !! And thank you very much

I will do a packing list soon and post it.

But first it is Horizons Unlimited now.

This was my first venture into Africa, I never realised then how much of an impact it would have on my future.

Just a few more views and we are on 86 000. You can do it!

This was my first venture into Africa, little did I know then, that it was the gate way into something bigger than what I thought it would ever be.

Thank you for taking the time to share this trip with me.

A twig on it's own, is easily broken, but a whole bunch of twigs together, that is a totally different thing.

How many other twigs do you think I will be able to find to make a bunch?

Matilda, my trusted steed and therapist.

The previous photo was taken prior to a ride to Lesotho. This is how we went up Sani Pass, 2 up. I was told that I am crazy, I was sent videos of bikes falling, but I was adamant, and I made it without going down. Stopped at a Provincial Traffic Department weighbridge, all in 535 kg.

Now, looking at more current photos, both Matilda and I have gone through a major metamorphoses, and I am now once again solo.

Life and all of it's **** happens, but still we ride.

Riding solo is something you cannot explain to anyone.

You do it or you don't, but you experience things and places that most people never will.
