I have basically convinced my wife that we are going to the Clarens Beerfest this weekend by bike. It will be her first actual trip on the bike, besides some little runs out to Harties/Magalies.
I want to be able to stop fairly often and not go more than 2hrs on the bike at one time....More like 90mins if possible.
Was thinking:
Blockhouse for fuel quick
Sasolburg
Heilbron
Petrus Steyn
Reitz
Bethlehem
Clarens
Are there any decent spots to stop for a drink quick in like Heilbron or Reitz? I remember there was a lekker butchery right on the main rd in Petrus Steyn.
Just trying to make it as easy for her as possible, so that next time it can be the gravel rds. I find my own max seat time is also much shorter with a pillion and not being able to move around on the bike as much too.
