I had a bit of a fright this morning on my way to work.
Was riding along happily in 4th gear about to cross an intersection, slowed down and shifted to 3e. At that moment or maybe slightly later I heard a pretty loud single TERRIBLE
metallic knock and the engine just completely shut down. Tried to get it going as I was still freeing along but to no-avail. Pulled over, tried to start it once, nothing, gave it a minute or two and tried again. On the second go it started perfectly! Could not believe it. I let it idle a moment or two to hear if I could hear that terrible knock again, but nothing.
I have no idea what could have gone wrong. Any ideas?
