after a recent tumble in Grabouw and knocking my knee and suffering for a week, i went out and bought knee/shin gaurds. a buddy, did the same.
yesterday, we both took tumbles.
the only indication of landing on my knee, was dirt on my jeans. it seems i had FULL protection.
alan, the buddy, took a more serious tumble (ABS showed off, but was in fact activated). Some damage to his bike, but what was more surprising - his jeans were torn on the knee. his guards were badly scuffed. his knee? zilch, zero and nothing. he also didnt realise that his knee took a heavy knock.
i am now a convert..... and it only cost me R125 incl. :lol: :lol:
