Been riding the KTM300 most of the time and decided to take the KTM 500 out this weekend. Sommer with my son to Rhino park. Have not ridden it for a while.

Realised how much the 500 vibrates. Feels like a rattle box after the 300.

Imho it is not a tool for enduro riding: On gravel you feel all the bump and get shaken around especially when you add a bit of speed. Bikes like the 690 do much better and I think it is because they are a bit heavier.

Yet I love the bike and want to keep it. Make it a bit easier to ride.
Planned changes:
- Some sort of screen or mini tower to make the wind buffer a bit less.
- Upgrade the seat for more comfort. The original is damn hard. Harder than most plastics
- Would love a long range tank. Mostly for added weight. But looking for something that don't change the looks too much and don't cost an arm and a leg.

What else could you recommend?
Is there a way to balance the engine?
