Hi Guys
I have a 2010 KTM990 adv with 14 000km on it. I haven't had the bike for a long and have only done about 3000km on the bike since owning it. Its been stuck in my hometown due to the lock down but managed to fetch it and bring it to the lodge i work on. Yesterday took it for a ride in the dunes close to the lodge and didn't take long for it to get really hot. It was 1 stripe away from max within 5 min in the dunes. It is hot this time of the year in Namibia at about 35 degrees. I have used my xt660z many time in the dunes and have never had a heating issue. I did ride the KTM hard just due to the nature of ride in sand. Is this Normal for these bikes?
Thanks
Norman
