We were attending the National Bash at Ladybrand and I thought it might be a good idea to show a few of my friends some of the lesser known areas in Lesotho.
The riders were as follows:
HP2                      BigDom
990R                    Jackol
990adv                171Steve and Nimmo
800adv                Andre
AT                        myself
We left Ladybrand at 7:30am and by 8:00am  we were in Lesotho and the fun started.
It is extremely dry in Lesotho and that allowed us to ride in a number of dry riverbeds.
I will let the photos tell the story.

This video will give you a good idea of what we were up to, enjoy:

It became quit hot early on in the day especially in the eroded areas because of the lack of any wind.

Big Dom not getting to old for that type of terrain  :peepwall:

Not just yet 😜
What Losper failed to mention is that we were in the saddle for almost 12 hours!
Awesome, awesome ride - Thanks Losper. 👌🏽

Glad I managed to get to see you at the bash Losper and I hope one day we will get to ride together. It's always nice to meet someone who actually wants to ride their bike! I was hoping to make contact with Big Dom too but in the end I couldn't work out who he was.

I can see that riding in Lesotho and the roof is big business now. On my drive back to Durban on Sunday I saw probably 20 bakkies loaded up with KTM's from JHB and Durban going home on the road to Roma and probably 30 or more still riding at Ramabanta. I didn't know there was a ring road around Maseru now, it's years since I went in at that bridge! I think that the tar road between Ramabanta and the Senqu must be one of the most spectacular tar roads in the world.

One thing I can't understand is why people from Natal coming to do roof training at Roma or Ramabanta  go home through  Maseru/Clarens. The trip on a road bike from Ladybrand to Matatiele through Semonkong took a tad more than 4 hours so it has to be quicker from Roma or Ramabanta  returning to Durbs that way.

I think there was quite a big event on at Afriski which could explain all the traffic.

Agree on the spectacular new roads in Lesotho and I also find it strange that people don't shoot back through Lesotho when heading towards Durban
