Locusts - AREAS to avoid?

Hi Dogs
We leave next week for EC via Baviaanskloof. Did a similar route last year and a few hundred locusts committed suicide on me and my bike. After all the rains this year there are more of these little Bastards. Can anybody advise where they are in large concentrations so we can plan to avoid. Advice will be greatly appreciated.
