Mark’s 990 developed a battery issue during the ride and he had issues starting the bike when it stalled. Eventually it had to be jump started a few times as the battery would just not have enough oomph to turn the starter.

The 890 Rally was once again absolutely amazing going up this mountain with my skill level and fitness being the only weak point.

If you ever meet this man, don’t believe a word he says…… at least not about a route you’re about to embark on with him! Run for the hills!

And then we reached the summit. I was completely knackered. Picking up bikes, walking up and down inclines to help fellow riders and also riding your own bike in challenging terrain really saps your energy.

I was ready for lunch and beer….. but Mark had other plans.

hoe het julle daai baie erge climb gedoen, die eerste foto met Mark. Momentum en gehoop jy vrek nie en val om en keer dat jou bike saam jou af kom nie, of het julle maar mekaar gehelp en so meter op n slag gevorder?
