As most of the PE dogs know, last year my dad made a deal with me. The deal was, I do well in my first year at varsity, I get a new bike . He obviously had a few beers in :pot:, because by the end of January the final marks came out, and guess what..... I did well :ricky:

So the old man kept to his word and sold our 650 Dakar to Lem and our beloved Funduro to Weskuskoos, both which are on the forum. We looked and looked and finally we found her, a beautiful BMW 800 2009 model with vey little km's on the clock! one problem though... The bike was in East London and we didn't have a trailer or bakkie to go fetch her. A fellow PE dog, Uncle Smuggy on the forum happened to hear we bought a bike and needed to get it down to Uitenhage. He happened to be going to East London the weekend and offered to bring the bike down for us, THANKS UNCLE SMUGS!!

We gave the bike a bit of clean and finally took her out for a lekker spin around the Gamtoos area, my dad and his "cardboard cut out" as they call it also tagged along. We left uitenhage and rode down to jbay via the van stadens pass and a detour down to hankey via the road where they use to have the winterberg enduro. So there was a small amount of dust involved. We stopped at the hankey golf course, for a quick cold one and then hit the road again. We over shot jbay and took a spin down to cape st francis and port st francis. We then headed to our beach house in jbay and stayed there for night, with my mom and sister.

This morning on the way back, we took a little a spin past the ferry at gamtoos river to take a few pics. The weekend was filled with joy and excitement after hearing that my friend, which my dad posted about (biking is dangerous), was awake and getting better :) , so an all in all awesome weekend, with good news and excitement on riding the 800 for the first time! A very happy Knucklehead jr. indeed!! :ricky:
