I finally got time to test my new old Garmin GPS III....
If been playing around with it a bit.... Looked on google maps, got the coordinates of a certain intersection and punched it into my GPS as a waypoint.
The problem i have is that there is a difference of about 3 kilometers between the Google map and the Garmin base map on my GPS..... :-[
I read somewhere about Map Datums. If google maps and my GPS is not set on the same datum there could be a difference.
I checked my GPS it is set on Datum WGS 84. Is this correct? Which one should i use?
Any tips.... i really wanna crack this navigation thing... as i'm quite obsessed with maps...
