Heading for Nam on 7th Dec - 1 x 12GSadv and 1 x dakar and hey any others who are keen can join
Leaving JHB on 7th via Botswana to Gobabis, then day 2 Otjokovare (Western Etosha) 1860 km's and my weather forecast shows 42' there today eeiish!
Day 3&4 we do the Otjokavare trail 100 odd km towards Sesfontein - google earth and T4A say danger fine sand and sharp rocks...more eiish and less water! But then there is the Ongongo hot spring at the other side...like we will want hot water by then!!!
If / when we emerge we head South to Palmwag (meeting a group with an XT and a KTM 640 ( ..yeah I know I know its like sleeping with your sister but then my brother will be riding it!) and head south via parts of the desolation valley ecotrail, Doros Crater, Messum crater to the Skeleton coast and then Swakop 500 odd km's
Swakop on the 14th to Sossusvlei then Springbok 19th. Here we meet the girls in a 4x4 and head down the West Coast Ecotrail to Cape Town by 24th.
5 000 + km's lots of sand, lots of rocks, lots of hot, little water, lots of picking up the 12GSA I am sure! Eeeissh!
