That night I start feeling very ill and spent a large portion of the night on the floor next to the toilet...
I never knew, sorry to hear that! When reading an ominous feeling crept up expecting to lead to you having caught Covid, but luckily you were spared this :thumleft:
You must have caught a serious cold that day, welding mitts & all .... perhaps also pack a plastic bag like I do (& Marc)? I donned mine in Sutherland and this helped to fight off that biting wind, keeping me more comfy.
On this, I forgot to pack my long-sleeve T-shirts for this trip, and arriving at Cederberg Oasis that first night I was downright cold! Marc & Wayne to the rescue, with a warm inner & long-sleeve T ..... gents, know that without these I'd have frozen somewhere en route! My genuine thanks for lending me these, I'd have been looking for a Pep Stores otherwise everywhere along the way

This was an awesome trip indeed, with (some new) friends in a remote barren part of our country I'd not seen much of, and definitely not in this way yet!
Noneking, a little apprehensive about his big bike (remember Amsterdam, which
also owns a 890 Rally, choose his
701 for reason of "sand", ditto Marc who owns and adores his 950SE!) before the start, showed anyone how sand was to be ridden! Dunno, his tackle probably is on a par with BB's, he's unashamedly fast at times - and no, Marc & Amsterdam are by no means slouches. Kamanya, better invite these okes to Atlantis at some stage....
Henry mastered his 990 well too, I still find it amazing where some guys put these big things in to and over!
Dan will ride anywhere well, smooth and without any drama - a real pity that his chain cut his trip short: next time better please! :thumleft:
Wayne screwed up a rib and is now ordered off his bike for a few weeks :-[ Sorry mater, but we'll meet again, and there will be something sent to CO for your attention
Amsterdam and Marc both, thank you for organizing this trip, in various ways an eye opener!
Stunning landscapes and terrain to ride in, keeping everyone on his toes for most of the day, exactly what the doctor ordered.
Thanks to all for making this a special trip indeed! :thumleft: :thumleft:
