Florider will be leaving back to Germany and then on to Slovakia in a few weeks time as he is needed that side of the ocean.
He stayed for two years in South Africa and we became riding buddies over the last few months and this is his last trip until he returns on holiday or for business.
I would like to say it has been my privilege to take him around on the dirt where he experienced 45+ degree heats, extreme cold, caught his first bass, camping and the joy of been caught in hail storms. :lol8:
It’s a pity his five year stint in South Africa turned into two years as we have not even finished the Eastern Cape yet.
Thank you. :thumleft:
We left late on Friday with no routes planned towards Graaf Reinet as that was the only part where there was no rain forecasted. Our first stay over would be the Royal hotel in Steytlerville and would visit MrT and his partners in crime that were camping close by, well we were a day early, we failed on that one
Saturday morning we heard about the honey ale made in Nieu Bethesda and decided that was where to go. We took a dirt road which was going towards the honey ale town and then the wind started pumping.( new experience)
We stopped off at the Camdeboo Park outside Graaf Reinet to ask permission to ride their 4x4 route which was awesome.
We then headed on the final gravel stage of dirt to Nieu Bethesda.
