So I've got sick and tired of rusty bits on my bikes. So I decided to practice some plating.
These are the rusty bits.
Once removed we have the loose bits.
After a quick sandblast to get rid of the grime and larger rusty areas ...
They go into the pickle juice for about 3 - 5 minutes ...
A quick rinse
And into the elecroplating bath ...
Turn on the power and watch the show ...
20 minutes later, another quick rinse ...
And into the passivation juice ...
And once dried, ready to go back onto the bike. :ricky: :ricky:
