What happened to your Dakar?
The one you know went to my older brother and I now have a very clean 2007 model with al the bells and whistles.
It is too heavy and tall for the type off riding done on this trip.

Lekker Oubones dit was goed om vir jou te ontmoet en ek is bly die Klr het jou veilig by die huis besorg.

Dankie Hennie, ek dink daar is so trippie nodig ten minste een keer in n man se lewe. Soms twee keer. My hande sweet eintlik. Ek het een keer die
geleentheid gehad " to throw caution  to the wind " and was not let down by the sheer scale of what i received back. Reaping the rewards still and i am not talking about money. Dankie dat jy met ons deel.  :thumleft:

Die struikelblokke wat Oubones moes oorkom om die rit te doen was menig en moeilik.
Dat hy alles oorkom het was vir my persoonlik n inspirasie.
Mooi man Oubones.

Craig, you must be one of the few rooinekke that's willing to speak Afrikaans to a Boertjie....it's mostly the other way around! Respect! ;)

You remind me of Clint Eastwood.

Regarding Hennie....I did not end up riding with him that much...but observed his efforts in keeping the KLR running at camp. He did not have it easy in this respect. He completed every day though.  :thumleft:

The KLR is not the easiest bike for these conditions. Van Zyl's camp had the deepest sand I encountered on this trip, and it caught out Ian in spectacular fashion.

Hennie's skill with the KLR in sand impressed me, even more when I saw what front tyre he was running!

Hennie's effort is testamony that life is not only about work....but that one needs to get out and experience life....and not wait for one day....when you have the money....just close your eyes and do it! :thumleft:

Dankie ouens! Julle laat my nederig voel met julle mooi woorde.
Thanks guys! You guys make me feel humble with your kind words.

:laughing4:Does Clint Eastwood speak Afrikaans ?

Well done Oubones, your single-minded determination is an inspiration. Looking forward to the rest of your report.

Have to do some homework and family commitments so you guys must just be patient :sip:
