Pain between the shoulder blades.

Why do I get a very numb, uncomfortable burning sensation next to the spine, on my back between the shoulder blades after a few hours of riding? It seems to be always on the left side and gets aggravated when I turn my head sideways or backwords. It seems to get worse after a few long days in the saddle.  ???
