This is my rant and rave for today …

Okay, so I’ve got to go to a meeting yesterday afternoon. As I’m leaving the office I remember I need to fill up.
I stop at the Shell on Katherine Drive [Sandown Gardens]. I ask the attendant to fill the bike with 95 unleaded. I then go about resetting my trip computer etc. Next I see is petrol pouring / spraying out of the bike! It went all over the windscreen, clocks, seat …

The worst part was I thought the bike was going to catch fire coz the petrol went all over the hot engine and exhaust headers – luckily the bike wasn’t too hot as I had only ridden about 1km.

Do you think I even got an apology from the manager? Not a chance!

Also noticed by the amount of fuel on the slip that the attendant had wasted about two litres – that’s how much he overfilled the bike  :dousing:

Straight after my meeting I made a detour home to wash the bike before anything was damaged by the petrol!
