Hi there,

Due to the nature of my job I regularly spend 4-5 weeks away from home. I found on my Funduro that this would be just long enough for the battery do lose a significant amount of charge. This was easily solved though, as the battery is easily accessible and disconnecting it a doddle.

I recently bought an R1150GSA though - and am now in my first trip away, so don't know how it'll cope with such long periods of inactivity. I did look into disconnecting the battery before departing, but this is not an easy/quick thing to do with the Pig...

My questions to the gurus:
* where would be a good place to mount a battery cutoff switch?
* what switch would you recommend? (I'm leaning toward a small version of the keyed version used on some earthmoving equipment)
* has anybody mounted such a switch, and would you be kind enough to share advice please...?

Many thanks,

J

Ps. And on a related note - how much of a task is it to replace one of the power sockets to something able to carry a jump-start current load?
