Hi
As mentioned before im trying my hand at making a short video of my trips ......as a new way...... at least for me ......of doing my ride reports........ a mix of my pictures and video

really appreciate any constructive input as always... :lamer:

We recently got invited to over night in the Touwsberg area with friends.......so i took the map and decided on a new route home..... :ricky:

really beautiful ride through the Anyberg Mountain Range.......

here is the video if you can afford to part with 6.23 minutes of your life  :laughing4:  :laughing4:

I must say I am not a fan  :snorting:

But only for the fact that Youtube is blocked at work...

With pictures I can usually kill some time  :lamer:

Will have a look tonight  ;)

I find it such a schlepp loading picture by picture on the forum because of the restriction in size of each pic as my camera is taking as a much higher resolution

if i add pics and video to imovie app for upload to youtube it automatically down sizes the the required setting...... for me its just easier process to tell the story

thanks for the feedback though appreciated

:thumleft:

:lol8:

But I do enjoy the video reports much more than the pictures in general.

Makes me feel like I am also there  :ricky:

Thought I should give some positive feedback also  :lol8:

Loved it and lekke rustige music to go with it. :thumleft: :drif:

You will have to go back to ride through Anysberg next time. Looking forward to the video. :thumleft: ;)

Thanks for sharing yet another nice video of your trip  :thumleft:

There are some nice gravel roads in the Touwsriver / Montague areas.

Did you go through the Anysberg Nature reserve as well?

agreed this was a beautiful are to ride ....think i will explore more when i get a gap........didnt physically go into a nature reserve but for some time rode between tall game fences

What I really enjoyed is the constant descriptions of where you were passing through, name places, etc.

I try to pre-guess it all, and did well. :thumleft: 8)

One thing, that Touwsrivier town once again reminded me of Justin's upside-down birds. :imaposer: :imaposer:

My Mom.when she was about 19/20, had a boyfriend in Touwsrivier, a guy called van Zyl, and she recalls this town with fond memories.  Van Zyl was the stoker or driver on the long-gone "Makadas" train,

running from Touws to Ladysmith.

Remnants of where the old tracks were are still visible, as well as bridge evidence if you take the Touwsrivier Bloutorings road.

Lekker Chris dankie vir die deel geniet jou video's.  :thumleft:

Very enjoyable to watch with nice chilled tune playing

Thanks for sharing.  I enjoyed the video

What type of action camera did you buy?  Reason for asking is that I also was thinking in buying something, but I am a novice when it comes to cameras.

thanks.....believe it or not on this particular trip my wife filmed using her iphone 11......was impressed by the stability.......

as for action camera i bought an Akaso Brave 7LE after doing lots of online research.......it was a top rated action camera vs go pro only reason i did is because im getting into this thing new and didn't want to spend so much loot at this time ......it had good reviews and cost a third of the gopro equivalent ......must say it certainly has impressed me so far....solid feeling camera....touch screen 4k.....wifi and remote plus gopro mounting system and accessories included

thanks guys appreciate the feedback and input.... :thumleft:
