What a tit day :thumleft: all the way into the wee hours. Closing off with some very cool music.
Well done to those that were responsible for making it happen! :3some:
The opportunity to burn some rubber without worrying about oncoming traffic, curbs, barriers and the like was exhilarating and a total expression of freedom.
At the start if the day Mark Hardy wasn't really sure about this tar stuff. By midday he was reborn. You couldn't wipe the smile off his face for love or money. By the end of the day he had taken chunks off his time and was chuffed to bits. :laughing4:
Moondog and Skinny having their 5th "last one then I'm going"
Judy on the other hand couldn't get enough of an adrenaline rush from the Transalp so she hijacked Mark's KTM. :ricky:
Skinny showed many of us boys how it's done. That girl's got talent, she also pedals a scoot quite well ;D
I met a lot of really cool WD folk and a couple of crazy ones. Even an old swimming instructor of past - Andrew (EatMyKTM).
It was a great social event.
My takeaway from the briefing session was that it's not cool to finish the day with pimples on your tyres (the chicken strips). Well I did more than that, I managed to file other parts off my bike.
Centre stand and foot pegs
What's left of my big foot
Thanks to the handy camera work on the track, I can see why ..
The couple of incidences were minor in so far as casualties go, with a few scrapes and scratches to bikes. Nothing that would break the bank or leave any scars.
There were no loosers, only winners - we all came away from the day a little richer than we started. Looking forward to the next one.
