Stunning area you've been in. Wonder what the name of that dam is?

I had a look on Google Maps and it seems to be one of the many nameless ones.

next time dont edit the mud crossing and the wooden bridge  :thumleft: O0

Regarding the bridge, I think watching bikes turn around will be rather boring.  ;) You can hear some of my "Are you crazy?" before the video jumps to the next shot.

I'm not sure what you wanted to see with the mud. If anything spectacular happened, you can be assured it will be posted. That's half the reason for riding with a GoPro: on the off chance of catching a fall or slide. We do not seem to believe in ego self-preservation.  ::)

VERY jealous.. looks like you had a great time, those roads look in good condition as well after the storm.

I must say, I was expecting more wet driffies than what we saw.

Lekker  :thumleft:
I did an almost reverse route in 2015 and was snowed on while traversing Katbakkies , was a weird experience , and also collllld

Zanie you can't post new ride reports before you complete the Kaokoland one.

I was wondering whether I'd get flak for this. :p

Thanks for adding a motivational kick. I put in some solid time on Kaokland today as a result. I'll try not to let it drag too much longer. The aim is to upload the last days in one batch.

Was thinking about her ride report last week. April was a year, since we've been to Kaokoland![emoji15]

Thanks for sharing Zanie![emoji6]

Love the blue crystal clear skies, albeit a bit chilly! [emoji16]

Take your time with the Kaokoland RR. [emoji6]

Nice TR, thanks!!

That 250 looks like SUCH a damn easy bike to have............!!! :drif:

I would not mind having one of those Honda CRF's in my garage.  :drif:

I absolutely love my Rally! Sure, it's relatively heavy for a 250, at 150-odd kg, but that is still 40 kg lighter than my first bike (a 650GS). It makes all the difference. I fall less often, due to the lower point-of-no-return tip-over point. I take more interesting routes, because the level of trepidation has been lowered. The Rally doesn't tick everyone's boxes, but it sure does for me.

just came across this post as I am planning a route around the same area. Gave me great insight with the pictures that was shared. Looks like a proper day out and will have to try ride in this area.
Thank you
