I really wanted to take one of these home, but catching it might have been tricky.  ;D

Close to Committee's Drift they are tarring the road and we have to take a detour.

I hope to God that whomever is doing it is still busy with it and it's not completed yet.

About 5kms from home's turn off, I get told to take a right on the gravel.

I honestly never knew this road existed. It passes Makana Brick and takes us all the way into town.

Home safely and I take off my pants...

WTF is that on my leg!

Ooooooooooooooh, I see. I had accidentally (no, seriously) missed one of the turn offs and as I tried to turn the bike around, I lost my footing and managed to get myself wedged under the bike. Thanks lovely for coming to my rescue.

The exhaust managed to burn through my boot and my pants, yet no damage to either... except for this gorgeous blister on my calf. Looking pretty siff at the moment, with a lot of bruising up and down the leg.

We also hear from the other guys... we had left before them to find our own way home.

Mike had to dump his Yamaha in the bushes, as it wasn't starting and the KTM 1290 had tyre issues.

Soooooooooooooo... in conclusion, I think we all know who won the KTM vs Honda argument.

SE the BEST of the oranges and although 3 of the 4 Hondas had oopsed... atleast we didn't have to put them on the back of a bakkie.

1 Yamaha
1 KLR (continuous punctures)
3 1 KTM
4 Honda's (1 off, another off... and another off and another)

Whoohoo! Faced the challenges of KGBs everywhere and still got home! Your side adventure sounds like a mini-epic - well done :ricky:

Thanks for the funny write-up, I chuckled all the way through.
